Whitney Houston and Dana Bash
Whitney Elizabeth Houston, born 9 August 1963, to the musically inclined family of Newark New Jersey is the daughter of the gospel singers Cissy Houston and John Russell Houston Jr. Also, she is the sister of the singer Dionne Warwick. As a young girl, Houston began singing professionally with the choir of her church. She sang backing vocals for Chaka Khosns 1978 single Im Every Woman with her mom. Then she went on to perform backing vocals for Lou Rawls and Jermaine and her mother. The vocals she sang with the band from New York Material attracted major record labels, including Arista. The label signed her to Arista in 1983 and spent the remainder of her career. Her debut album Whitney Houston was released in 1985 and quickly became the top-selling album of the debut artist. The album All My Love was released in 1985 and was a top one smash. In its initial US year, the album was has sold in excess of 3 million units. Then it went on to be bought by over millions of people around the world which earned her the first Grammy. The album Whitney was released in 1987, featuring hit songs What Do Broken Hearts go? and I Wanna Dance With Somebody, was a follow-up to her success from. But it came with The Bodyguard (1996) that established her as the top selling album in music. Although the film was not well-received and neither did her performance, the music of her Dolly Parton version I Will Always Love You reached the top of both the singles and album charts in America for a period of time. It sold 44,000,000 copies. The same year, she married Bobby Brown who was a former New Edition singer. She had their sole daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown in the month of March, 1993. Dana Bash is also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz and she has a job at CNN as a reporter, anchorwoman and political correspondent. She has produced shows for CNN, including Evans & Novak' Late Edition' and Inside Politics'. Bash's awards and recognitions include her inclusion on the "The Women in Washington Power List" by Elle magazine. Known to possess incredible anchoring/reporting skills she is admired by many young journalists in the business. In her personal life the graduate from George Washington University is a doting mother to her only son. She has been married twice and currently isn't.
